Terms of Trade.

Lead Time

Standard

Our standard lead time is 8-12 weeks from the date deposit funds are received, depending on size of project and materials required. Please note, accepting a quote will not commence your project; the deposit must be received to begin work.

Expedited

Expedited lead times are available and can be negotiated during the quoting process. Additional fees will be applied to secure the expedited delivery date.

Delays

We make every effort to have your project delivered when specified. However, ongoing shortages of and delays in material supply may result in your project being delayed; this does not constitute a breach of contract and Palomar Rowe is not liable for any resulting damages.

Quotes & Pricing

Quotes

We cannot provide quotes over the phone.

Please use the website form or email address to send as much information as possible to assist us with providing you a ballpark price prior to a site visit or official quote.

If possible, please send: image inspiration/references, timber or other material preferences, dimensions (approximates are okay), the function of the piece/s, desired delivery date.

We will provide you with an approximate price, and if this is satisfactory, we will work with you to obtain specific dimensions and material choices in order to provide an official quote.

In circumstances where a site visit is deemed necessary by Palomar Rowe to capture accurate details relating to unusual, intricate or large-scale projects, delivery or installation, a call-out fee of $150+gst will be invoiced prior to the site visit and deducted from the deposit invoice on acceptance of the quote.

Due to the constant fluctuation in material pricing, all quotes are strictly valid for 1 month only.

Pricing

Our pricing is calculated based on labour, materials and delivery/installation requirements needed to complete the project within the desired timeframe.

Drawings (Residential Projects only)

Following an initial consultation, Palomar Rowe will quote to provide design and digital drawings for residential projects. This fee must be paid in full prior to the commencement of design.

Delivery & Installation

Fees

Delivery and installation fees will be itemised in the quote, including any unusual or challenging circumstances that require additional labour or machinery.

Collection

If you choose to collect the project from the Palomar Rowe workshop either yourself or via a third party service, please note that we will only guarantee the quality of the item/s until it leaves the hands of the Palomar Rowe staff. Palomar Rowe does not take responsibility for any damage or issues that occur once the piece is handed over to you or a third party, including while loading the piece onto a vehicle on site at the Palomar Rowe workshop, and after it has left the Palomar Rowe premises.

Storage

Should you require Palomar Rowe to store your completed project beyond 7 days of the agreed due date, we will charge a storage fee of 1% of total job value (including gst) per week. Storage fees will be calculated and invoiced separately following final delivery or collection.

Furniture in Situ

Natural Timber Movement

During the manufacturing process all care is taken to ensure each piece is sharply aligned and that joins fit like a glove. However, timber is a natural product and it will move as it settles into its environment. As such, some shrinkage or expansion could cause joins to fall out of alignment over time. This movement is NOT covered under Warranty.

Care

Palomar Rowe indoor furniture should not be placed outdoors. Any indoor furniture placed where it can be exposed to the elements such as under windows can become sun-bleached or start to yellow after time; Palomar Rowe does not offer returns or complimentary repairs in these instances, however we can quote to refurbish these items if required.

Recycled Timber

If you’ve elected to use recycled timber, please remember these come with pre-existing personalities that may include cracks or variations in colour. During the quoting process, you will be required to acknowledge and accept that impurities occur in recycled timber and can not be predicted, and as such, Palomar Rowe will not offer returns or complimentary alterations for unexpected markings in recycled timber products.

Maintenance

At our discretion, we may work with you to address any minor cosmetic issues within 1 week of delivery at no charge.

Palomar Rowe items should not be used in any way that they were not designed for - i.e. do not sit on tables, stand on chairs, lean on cabinets etc. Any warranty claims involving structural issues that show signs of stress or forced damage will not be accepted.

Environmental conditions can affect the performance and appearance of your furniture, causing changes such as shrinkage, expansion, bowing, splitting and colour change, which are NOT the responsibility of Palomar Rowe Furniture Co.

Finishes are subject to standard wear and tear (relevant to commercial or residential use).

Once we hand over your new piece/s, it’s your responsibility to give it the attention and care it needs for a long life. Palomar Rowe can quote for a maintenance service to help reinvigorate your item/s at any time.

Returns

Due to the unique design and function of custom builds, Palomar Rowe Furniture Co. does not offer returns, exchanges or refunds of any kind.

During the quoting and design process, Palomar Rowe will recommend ways to build that are both functionally and aesthetically in tune with your style and requirements, however the final outcome of your project is your responsibility to manage prior to accepting the quote.

Palomar Rowe cannot accommodate complimentary changes to design, materials or build after work has commenced on your project. All changes agreed upon after commencement of works will be quoted and added to the final invoice.

If you believe your piece has structural issues, please contact us in writing via email at hello@palomar-rowe.com.
